Star shine is a miraculous gift.

Clear nights make my spirits lift.

We know a light year is very swift.

As I ponder this, my mind goes adrift

With the vastness suggested.  I downshift,

As I imagine the distance.  Like plains snow drifts,

Rolling off the distant horizon.  It is a huge frameshift

To make, as I try to imagine a universe measured by redshift.
